This summer Sharon, Amber and I had the privilege of teaching praise dance for 2 days at a Vacation Bible School at a Methodist church. It was a first for the three of us because it was the first time that our leader, Brianne was not with us and Marissa could not get off from work either. Brianne asked Amber to be the leader with Sharon and myself to help. It is awesome to see the way Lord keeps stretching us. Amber was wonderful as our leader. There were 18 7-10 years olds...boys and girls. The church we were at has no air conditioning so it was very hot. The first day we taught the children an entire tambourine dance. They worked to hard and we had so much fun with them. We were amazed at how much they learned. The second day we taught the same dance, but with streamers that they had made. The kids were so into it and we taught about David and dancing and spiritual warfare. They were like little sponges for the Lord. The absolute best part was at the end of the second day we took the children outside with their streamers and some flags we had brought with us. We marched around the church building and we called out prayers requests. At first the children were silent but very soon they got the idea and after every prayer request everyone shouted "Amen!" We circled around the church 3 times. The first time we called out our prayer requests, the second time we called out things about God...like "God is the King" and "God is our healer!" The third time around we called out our thanks to Jesus for everything in our lives. The "Amens" were flying. The Pastor of the church couldn't believe his eyes. Praise God we had so much fun and we exposed the children to extreme worship. What an honor and delight to do the Lord's work. He makes it easy on us and we come away feeling blessed a hundred times over! Our lives are so full and joyful in the Lord...and to think He would use us in such a way!

All I know is that I was stressed out the day before the VBS because we did not even have the music for the song. I also thought that Amber and I had to choreograph the whole dance in a matter of hours. Hot and tired Amber and I both persisted. We traveled up to where Candi works to get the music. On the way back we decided to help a friend that does animal rescue. Then it was time to listen and choreograph (DINNER???) Amber and I put a piece together but the most amazing thing is that Brianne had done her own version on the internet which was very similar but more fun for kids. I loved it but only Amber had the stamina to teach the classes back to back and then again. The whole day went so well, I think Amber is a born teacher and loves children and dance. Also there are some children that have absolute talents and gifts to do dance that I would like to incorporate into a Christmas dance this year. Thank you for having us. I hope we blessed the children as much we were blessed by them.
