I was blessed by this year's event. It seems that we have participated in this event for 1-2 years now. This year some how was different for me. I felt that we were able to not only hold more personal conversations with people but we were also able to pray with many. This event is always blessed by a variety of singers, dancers and speakers. The most shocking and moving sermon was given by a man I did not know. He had been standing, watching us as we worshipped God-never moving but not resistant. Finally, someone from Divine Providence spoke into the man's life and shared with him that he would lead many in a great ministry. They prayed for the man and he began speaking to the others on the street- at first really quiet. As time went on I heard him get louder, more confident and speaking with a sure cause. I was blown away as this man was moved in the spirit. It was as he almost would burst! He was so full of the spirit that he could not preach fast enough. Praise God!

This event was different this year as in past years many churches worked together and somehow it was less focused or less personal. Because it was such a small group of us we got to do everything. We came having prepared several dances, but it was just too brutal to dance. We tried, but got sick because the heat was so bad. We did manage to do one slow dance, but the ground was so unlevel that even that was hard. What gets me is the fact that we thought we were coming to promarily dance. But the Lord had other ideas in mind. We gave out tracks and bracelets, and got to pray with folks, too. How great is that???leading someone to the Lord right there on the street! I think the lesson for me is a reminder that all we need to do is be willing and show up and God will do what HE wants. yes, we are to come prepared with excellence, but then be willing to do whatever is needed to bring people to the Lord. The efforts of this small group were intense. It was grass roots, raw ministry. WOW. Thank you jesus that we were a part of it and that you keep us doing new things.

It was an awesome day. I am so wowed when I think how the Lord has stretched us and used us. The boldness we have prayed for years to recieved has decended on us at last and we are so free and comfortable to talk about the Lord. It is an honor to serve Him..and it is fun too. The Lord fills us with joy!
